It would disgust me. I think we have enough advertising with popups, spam email, stuff in the mail, commercials, etc.-RodrigoP.S. Your website is awesome.Rob JoynerWhy, isn't this just 'hunky-dory super fantastic news'!!!Anyone know of a device that blasts such satellites out of the sky?! Now, THAT would be something to watch! How lame or greedy would a company have to be before they would opt for advertising in space? "Yeah, our product sucks...but we have the money to put a commercial in space! We're stupid and ignorant! Please buy our crap!"Can you imagine looking at the Orion Nebula through your binoculars one night and then seeing some corporation's ad strewn across the field?!I think Lavrynov should try to keep the Russian space program up to par instead of appearing like one of our greedy, money-grubbing corporations!Rob PhilipWell we already had " ADS in space ";Pepsi & CocaCola onboard Space ShuttleOnboard MIR space station cosmonauts advertised chocolate, wristwatches, milk, ...spaceheadedYes, and I know of another that's been there for a few years. Just look up on a clear night and you see "Milky Way." BillspaceukThe problem with any satellite cluster of this nature would be visibilty from the earth and the reflected sunlight - especially if not geosysnch orbit..Just try looking for ISS on any night. Several nights when not visible since it is making daylight passes.Other times when there is no reflected sunlight from it due to its position in relation to observer.Atmospheric cloud cover stops viewing - even if on a good pass! And,actually, not those many people look "up" into the sky at night . Its usually those folk interested in astronomy or satellite observation . And remember this is the largest space structure we have currently in orbit. Even a 'string of pearl' satellite cluster spelling out words will be difficult to see under the 'right' conditions.
